June 28th, 1918.

Hon. E. W. Timberlake,
Chairman Wake County Board No. 2.,
Raleigh, N.C.

My dear Judge:-

I am advised that Harry Lee Baucom, Order No. 2227, serial No. 789, who was put in class four on account of his wife and two children being dependent upon him, has deserted his wife, taken up with a lady friend, and is high balling it around through the country. He passes through Raleigh occasionally, and the local police officials know him. I would be glad for your Board to put him in Class one, have him arrested and sent to the camp at once. The Chief of Police of this city, I think, can affect his arrest.

Sincerely yours,

[unsigned]
