Mr. Secretary Pitt's Letter of December 30th. on Sunday the 9th. instant, and immediately summoned this Assembly to meet on Tuesday the 25th. they are now disputing about acting upon a Quorum of 15, which his Majesty determined to be a Quorum, unless they have a Majority of the whole Number of which the Assembly consists. Mr. Pitt's Letter to you did not come to my hands, but I sent to the Post Master to know if there was any for you to send them straight away, which says he did on the 10th. sealed up to Toomer to Wilmington which I hope he immediately did; and that you have since recd. it, but for fear of Accident have wrote to Toomer if not forwarded to send it by your Express, and if he sent to let him know when it went and by whom. I pray God we may have Success this Campaign. I am with great Regard

Your Excellency's

most humble Servt.
