I delayed acknowledging of your Excellency's favour of the 13th. of June in hopes of seeing Mr. Atkin here, whose Presence I think very necessary at this Time, as you will see by the Copy of Chief Justice Henley's Letter, which I inclose to you; Upon your former Letters I gave Orders to Brown to stop building the fort until I had an Answer of my Letter to you, and he went Northward from hence, and I have wrote; if there, for him not to proceed until Mr. Atkin comes here, you will find by the inclosed that something must be done to stop the increasing Insolence of the Catawbas, which must be increased by the private Traders and Emissaries of your Province, who are constantly stirring them up against this Province, Glenn having always called them his Indians, and to have no Concerns with this Province blowing them up with so exorbitant a Grant of Lands as above 2 Millions of Acres mostly out of this province. 

Thus, Sir, you will see how necessary it is to have our Boundary Line fix'd, and hope to hear from you that you have sent over your Opinion upon it to England, as it is now all lies at your Door, and as I candidly laid before you the Proposal of this Province, I hope you will let me know the Result of Yours.
