Your article of a few days ago relative to "KuKlux Clan" was read with intense interest. We as Colored Physicians of the City of Durham wish to highly commend you for the sane and practical stand you took against such an organization. It has always been our contention that lawlessness could be and would be stopped provided men of high official standing and influence would speak out openly as you have done. We sincerely trust that the hand of Providence will spare you for a long time to assist in fighting these present day evils.
