My dear Governor:-
My friend E. S. Parker, of Graham told me yesterday that he feared you did not understand clearly our attitude toward our employees. I thought I had clearly put the matter before you, but the conversation was naturally hurried, and in order that you may understand fully the attitude of the management of the Pilot Cotton Mills towards its employees including those now on a strike, I am enclosing herewith an article I am handing to the press this afternoon, which I believe fully covers the ground.
I regret I am still under the weather or I would have handed this to you in person, however the bearer is Mr. Kelly our Secretary and can talk with you should you so desire.
Thanking you for kind consideration of if there is anything further in the way of information you may desire, I shall be pleased to give it to you if in my power to do so, and remain with highest regards,
