AGREEMENT entered into between the Management of the Rocky Mount Cotton Mills and Local #______ <its employees> of  the United Textile Workers of America:

First, that the Management of the Rocky Mount Cotton Mills will deal with the Textile Union through its duly elected Committees, who are employes of said mill, who shall have the right to deal with the Management upon all matters effecting the Union mill employes through such Committees, reserving to the Management and the individual employes, the right to settle, iff possible, individual differences between themselves before such employes shall call upon such a Committee in dealing with the Management in the attempt of settlement of such differences.

Second, that the Management is not to discriminate in any way against any man or woman for belonging to the Textile Union, <and union employees are not to discriminate against or be [illegible] or [illegible]

Third, that any differences that cannot be adjusted between the employer and the Union employes, will be referred to an Arbitration Board composed of two Union employes representing the employes, and two representatives of the employers; these four to select a fifth member, and if the four cannot agree upon the fifth member, the Governor of the State shall be asked to appoint the fifth member, who shall in no way be connected with the Textile Industry as an employe or as an employer, he to be fair and just with both the employer and the employe.

Fourth, that both the employer and employes, parties of this contract, shall be bound by the findings and award of the Arbitration Board. During the pendancy upon the action of this Board, there shall be no lock-outs or strikes entered into or contemplated in any manner whatsoever by the parties of this contract. If the matter under arbitration covers wage-scale, and award is given after more than thirty (30) days, such award shall date back and shall become effective thirty (30) days from the time the controversy bears original date.

Fifth, that this contract signed and sealed by the parties hereto being representatives of the Management and the accredited Committee of the Textile Union, this ____ day of ______, 19__, and to be in force for three (3) months until thirty (30) days notice is given by either of the contracting parties hereto.
