Linn Mills Company
MANUFACTURERS OF
COTTON YARNS

Landis, North Carolina

July 12, 1920.

T. W. Bickett, Gov. of North Carolina,
Raleigh, N.C.

Dear Governor:

We are glad to report to you that the picketing crowd did not appear on the streets this morning, and that a goodly number of the ones who were intimidated have gone to work, thus enabling us to partly resume operation at the Corriher Mills Company.

We are unable to express our appreciation to you for your services in this trouble. One can hear expressions of praise of your speech from every class. The writer attended Church in the country yesterday and quite a number of the farmers of that community heard your talk Saturday afternoon, and were very emphatic in their statements that it was one of the best speeches they ever heard.

Yours very truly,

C. J. Deal, MAYOR.
