ATTORNEYS AT LAW
RALEIGH, N.C.

February 4, 1920.

Gov. T. W. Bickett,
Raleigh, N.C.

My dear Governor:-

Yours, with enclosures, has been received, and I very much appreciate the desire expressed that Gen. Carr and I should remain as directors of the Home during your administration.

Gen. Carr has always manifested a sincere interest in everything pertaining to the welfare of the old soldiers, and I should feel it almost a calamity now to be without his services at the Home. One thing we both realize is that Gen. Carr is handicapped and unless he can get the co-operation of the Board he can do very little towards straightening matters out.

I will see him when he returns from New York and we will both call and see you.

Sincerely yours,

Armistead Jones
