OFFICE OF
CRANMER & DAVIS
ATTORNEYS AT LAW
SOUTHPORT, N.C.

March, 8th. 1920

His Excellency
Hon. T. W. Bickett,
Raleigh, N.C.

Sir:-

On account of Pneumonia and Flu in our county, the Board of Health today cancelled our March term of court. The bar here approved of this action. On account of an accumulation of business we wired for a Special term, for May, 10th. as it appears that Judge Guion will have a week off then. Two of our county commissioners are in bed with "Flu" and could not be reached, and therefore, the bar here made this request by wire as we felt that unless we acted quickly that some of the other counties in which "Flu" is raging and have had courts annulled for this reason, might get this week ahead of our county.

Respectfully,

Robert W. Davis
