My dear Mr. Laughinghouse:-

Your letter just received, and I beg to say that a large batch of the discharges you mentioned have just been granted, as you will see in the paper tomorrow. I have just been to Camp Jackson and Gen. McIver tells me that every one of the discharges sent down from this Department will be granted.
