A. Bruce Bielaski, Esquire,
Chief, Bureau of Investigation,
Washington, D.C.

Dear Sir:-

With reference to my reports and letter in the matter of J. J. Laughinghouse, I am enclosing you herewith copy of letter from F. M. Wooten to Major Langston, and original letter from U. S. Attorney Carr, addressed to me. You will note that Mr. Carr is holding this matter in abeyance, but he has informed me that if other facts develope he will probably present this to the Grand Jury in July or August.

I call your attention to the last paragraph of Mr. Carr’s letter, and I suggest that the Department advise Mr. Carr of its wishes in the matter. I also wish to call the Bureau’s attention to paragraph 5 of Judge Wooten’s letter.

Very truly yours,

Dorsey E. Phillips
Agent in Charge.
