Dear Mr. McDonald:-

It has been reported to the Governor that one Rob Cullers, West End, North Carolina, maintains a house of irrepute and that he is in the draft age. It has been referred to the Local Board for investigation. I will appreciate it very much if you will make such inquiry as may be necessary for the purpose and let me know what the situation is. Your information will be kept, of course, in strictest confidence.

I thank you in advance.

Very truly yours,

Dear Mr. Spence:-

Rob. Cullers moved to this section from Stokes Co. N.C. first of this year and has wife & 4 small children is said to be industrious has a good crop prospect by investigating same. I have no definite information as to reputation of his wife he may be in draft age (I do not know) If I can get further information will let you hear later

One of his nearest neighbors tells me he has not seen any wrong conduct about his family. I get this information from Chas. Smith without letting him know of your inquiry

Yours truly
