OFFICE OF
JOHN MCCAMPBELL, M. D.,
SUPERINTENDENT
STATE HOSPITAL
MORGANTON, N.C.

Jan. 18, 1919.

Col. Santford Martin,
Raleigh, N.C.

Dear Colonel Martin:

Your letter of former date making inquiry as to the accommodation in this Hospital of mental cases discharged from the Army, beg to say any admissions from this source will be at the expense of the civil population, since at present we are unable to accommodate all applicants for admission.

If the Governor desires that we set aside any specified number of beds for this purpose we will be glad to do so.

Yours very truly,

John McCampbell
Superintendent.
