My dear Sir:-

Replying to your letter, the subject “Accommodations for insane soldiers and sailors discharged from the service” the Governor directs me to advise that the State Hospital at Raleigh, Dr. Albert Anderson, Superintendent, has arranged to take twenty-five patients; the State Hospital for the Colored Insane at Goldsboro, N.C., Dr. W. W. Faison, Supt., has arranged to take ten patients; the hospital at Morganton, Dr. John McCampbell, Superintendent, reports crowded condition, but will likely be able to receive a few returned soldiers upon application being made.
