I beg to have your attention, through this letter, in the matter of Polk County roads. We have just gotten through bond issue of $100.000.00 for building and improving our roads: and will also establish a convict camp. Will it be possible for you to let us have about twelve or fifteen state convicts to put with our Gang? We notice that occasionally that you are sending some out. We are very anxious to build, this early Summer, the connecting link between Spartanburg and Asheville: this is on the Saluda Mtn.
