Yours of the 20, received. You will remember we are paying part of the expense of the convicts and in addition thereto $1.50 per day in stock. This is equal, if not more than $1.75 offered. However, if it is the purpose of the authorities, to change the contract, the Statesville Air Line Railroad Company, will acquiesce.
