My dear Sir:

Several months ago the North Carolina Society of Atlanta sent to the Governor of North Carolina check for $35.00 to be applied on the flood relief fund. I have recently received canceled check, but have received no acknowledgment from the Governor's Office that check was received. We expect soon to have another meeting of the North Carolina Society of Atlanta, and I shall be very glad to have a note from you saying that the check has been received. This amounted to $35.00 and was my personal check.
