Captain John Hollis formerly an ensign in the company of Francis Boykin of the second ^Third^ regiment of the South Carolina Troops on Continental establishment in the war of the Revolution appeared—before me and being duly sworn made oath that John Jenkins was a first sergeant in the said Regiment and served as such at the siege of Fort Moultrie in the state of South Carolina; That he served the time of eighteen months and was honourably discharged between this and charleston after his term of service had expired.

The word Third was Interlined by Me in the place of second before I Signed officially to Mr Hollis Deposition

This will certify unto all whom it may concern that James Elliot the subscribing Justice to the above affidavit is a Justice of the Quorum duly authorised and in office, and therefore that all due faith and credit are and ought to be given to his official transaction as such.
