Biographical Description

Charlie Hyman was born in April 1899 in North Carolina. Hyman suffered from an undiagnosed psychological condition which required his admission to the state insane asylum in Raleigh in late 1919. He died the next year from the effects of tuberculosis, just seven months after arriving at the institution. He was the son of Robert and Ann Hyman of Edgecombe County, North Carolina.
