Biographical Description

Joseph John Laughinghouse was born on October 4, 1847, in Pitt County, North Carolina. During World War I, Laughinghouse served on the Pitt County Exemption Board until he was forced to resign by Gov. Thomas W. Bickett. He died in Greenville (Pitt County) on September 13, 1927.
