Biographical Description
George William Gillette was born on November 4, 1888, in Onslow County, North Carolina. Gillette was a career military officer and government engineer. During World War I, Gillette served as captain of Company A of the 105th Engineers. He died in Wilmington (New Hanover County) on July 13, 1971.
