Biographical Description
Peter Timothy (circa 1725-1782) was a South Carolina newspaper printer who served as the official printer for the state's Commons House of Assembly. He also served as postmaster general for Charleston (appointed 1756) and as deputy postmaster for the southern district (appointed 1766).
