Biographical Description
William McNeely Westmoreland was born in Statesville (Iredell County), North Carolina, on December 23, 1876. Westmoreland was an influential businessman in Statesville where he owned and operated a grocery business. He served in both the Spanish American War and World War I. Westmoreland died in Statesville on September 25, 1933.
