Biographical Description

Charles Alonzo Scott was born on February 8, 1867, in Alamance County, North Carolina. In 1898, Scott founded the National Bank of Alamance, for which institution he served as cashier, vice president, and, later, president. In 1920, he provided testimony in an investigation into an attempted lynching in Alamance County. Scott died in Graham, North Carolina on November 11, 1952.
