Biographical Description
Cleone Elizabeth Carter (née Smith) was born in Olive Branch (Union County), North Carolina on November 1, 1871. Carter was a wife, mother, and homemaker in Lanesboro (Anson County) who contracted tuberculosis that required hospitalization in the North Carolina Sanatorium at Montrose (Hoke County). She died in Polkton (Anson County) on August 12, 1913.
