Biographical Description
James Martin Jr. was born in Surry County, North Carolina on March 29, 1786. A resident of Rowan County and the son of an Revolutionary War colonel, he served as a traveling judge for the North Carolina Superior Court of Law and Equity. He died in Mobile, Alabama in about March 1845.
