Atkinson, Roger P.

Biographical Description

Roger Pleasants Atkinson was born in 1829. Atkinson was a Confederate veteran and a railroad administrator. Atkinson worked as a Superintendent of Convicts on the Western North Carolina Railroad managing incarcerated laborers. He died in Bladen County, North Carolina, on August 26, 1889.
