Biographical Description

Sidney Clarence Chambers was born on April 30, 1881, in Yonkers, New York. During World War I, Chambers was a major in the 3rd North Carolina National Guard and the 113th Field Artillery. He served overseas from November 1918 to March 1919 and was honorably discharged in April 1919. Chambers died in Durham, North Carolina, on March 27, 1961.
