Biographical Description
Edgar Walker Pharr was born on March 4, 1889, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. An attorney in Charlotte, Pharr served five terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives and was its speaker in 1925. He died in Washington, D.C., on December 15, 1936.
