Biographical Description

Peregrine Thomas Hopson (1696-1759) was a British army officer who served as governor of Nova Scotia (1752-1755). In late 1758, during the Seven Years' War, he led an expedition against the French on the islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe, in which he became ill and died.
