Biographical Description

Francis Brice was a legislator, merchant, and ship chandler who served as a commissioner for the port at Wilmington. From 1754 to 1760, he represented Duplin County in the colonial Assembly. In 1755, he joined other merchants, traders, and planters in petitioning the Board of Trade for relief on trade restrictions.
