Biographical Description

Edward Nash Hurley was born on July 31, 1864, in Galesburg, Illinois. Hurley was a manufacturer and financier who served as chairman of the United States Shipping Board and president of the Emergency Fleet Corporation during World War I. He died in Chicago, Illinois, on November 14, 1933.
