Biographical Description

Wade Lindsay was a resident of colonial Salisbury. Around 1763, William Strother and Oliver Wallace were accused of horse stealing, found guilty, and sentenced to death. In an undated petition, Lindsay joined others from the Salisbury District in asking royal governor Arthur Dobbs to reprieve both men.
