Biographical Description

Clem William Bradshaw was born on July 23, 1894, in Swepsonville, North Carolina. Bradshaw served two stints in the army during World War I but health troubles each time necessitated his discharge by surgeon's certificate of disability. In 1920, Foster provided testimony in an investigation into an attempted lynching in Alamance County. He died in Burlington on August 22, 1975.
