Biographical Description

Francis Churchill Bourne was born in Asheville (Buncombe County), North Carolina on March 31, 1894. Bourne was a wholesaler and merchant in Asheville. During World War I, he served as a commissioned officer with the 316th Field Artillery and saw overseas service. Bourne died in Murphy (Cherokee County) on May 10, 1970.
