Locke Craig, Jr. was born in Raleigh (Wake County), North Carolina on November 11, 1914. Craig was a forestry expert who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the International Paper Company, and Olinkraft, among others. He died in Pinehurst (Moore County) on November 11, 1993.
