Dement, Richard

Biographical Description

Richard "Dick" Dement was born in Virginia in about 1830. He was an African American doctor and resident of Perry County, Illinois. The affidavit of Lib Thompson in support of his own pension indicates Dement was a well known member of the community. He died after 1910.
