Biographical Description

Thomas Boyd was an attorney in Pasquotank Precinct, North Carolina by 1697. He held several colonial offices in North Carolina throughout his career, including provost marshal in 1706, general court judge in 1708, and member of the North Carolina Council from 1711 to 1714. A colonel, he also led colonial troops during the Tuscarora War. He died in North Carolina in about 1715.
