By His Excellency Arthur Dobbs Esqr. Captn. Genl. and Govr. in Chief, in and over his Majesty's said Province of No. Carolina

To John Dalrymple Esqr. Captn. of Fort Johnston in the said province Greeting

You are hereby authorized & impowered to raise Recruits in this province for his Majestys province for his Majesty's Service according the orders you have Received from his Excellency General Braddock dated the 17th. of March 1755 and I do hereby Require & Command all his Majestys Officers Ministers & others to be aiding & assisting to you in that Service and for so doing this shall be your Warrt. Given under my hand the 29th. Day of March 1755
