WHITE & GOUGH

LUMBERTON, N.C.
Feby 19/20.

His Excellency Gov. T. W. Bickett.
Raleigh. N.C.

My Dear Governor:-

I herewith enclose Copy of answer to a number of letters written you, Copies having been received by me. Of course you will understand that these letters are inspired by a member of our Board who is also a member of the Furniture Association, I feel that all these people should first inform themselves before they kick, they should get hurt before they howl, I have no slefish interest in this matter, I have no stock in any Furniture or Chair Factory, but desire to say - If I owned a Chair Factory and was convinced that it was for the interest of my state to put one in, I would give it my hearty support. In making this statment I do not mean to insinuate disloyalty by any one, but I do mean to say - Men having personal interest, should at least inform them-selves before registering opposition,

I sincerely hope Mrs. Bickett is on the road to rapid recovery.

Sincerely Yours.

Frank Gough
