THE NORTH CAROLINA SANATORIUM
FOR THE
TREATMENT OF TUBERCULOSIS

SANATORIUM, N.C.

1584

June 1st, 1920.

To His Excellency,
The Governor of North Carolina,
Raleigh, N.C.

My dear Governor Bickett:

I enclose you herewith copy of letter which I have written Mr. J. R. Collie, Superintendent of the State Prison, copy of which also went to the members of the State Prison Board.

I am sending you this because I know you are personally interested in the success of any movement in regard to the State Prison and because I know your influence will be great value in this matter.

The matter mentioned has the advantage of being an economic value to the State, while the men are serving their time and after they have returned to their homes.

Our new building is progressing slowly, very slowly, but is progressing. The high prices of everything are hitting us hard, but we seem to be getting along fairly well.

I hope to be in Raleigh before a great while and desire to talk some matters over with you while there.

Very sincerely,

L. B. McBrayer,
Superintendent
