To His Excellency Arthur Dobb Esqr. Governor and Commander in Chief and Capt. Generall of His Majesties forces in North Carolina.

Wee your Humble Pettioners in Johnston County Humbly Sweth that your Excellency Would Be pleased to Consider our Misfortune in Living in the Said County on Both Sides of Little River the Nearest Wee have to go Before a Majestrate is Eighteen or Twenty Miles to give in List therefore Wee Humbly Beg your Excellency will appoint a Justice in our Remote part of the Said County and in So doing Wee your Humble Petitioners is in Duty Bound for Ever pray
