Margaret Thomson was a resident of Bladen County, North Carolina. In 1753 an enslaved man named Cato tried to stab her with a knife. The motive for the attempted murder was not recorded. Later Thomson may have moved to Craven County, South Carolina, where she died sometime after 1774.
