Biographical Description

Elizabeth Lee was born in Virginia in about 1727. She married William Ingram and the couple had several children together. Later residents of Johnston County, North Carolina, the Ingrams owned several enslaved people. In 1768 she had to come before the local freeholders court when Will, an enslaved man that the Ingrams owned, was called on to testify in a poisoning case. She died sometime after 1771.
