Bird Geane was born in 1782 or 1783. He was the nephew of Philip Geane, who died in the Battle of Lindley's Mill on September 13, 1781. Philip's widow, Mourning Geane, came to live with Bird for a time after Philip's death, until her own passing in 1838. Bird Geane died sometime after 1850.
