Biographical Description

Fred Loring Seely was born on December 22, 1871, in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Seely was a architect, developer, and philanthropist in Asheville, North Carolina. During World War I, he was appointed by Gov. Thomas W. Bickett to serve on the North Carolina Council of Defense. Seely died in Asheville on March 14, 1942.
