Biographical Description

William Kinchen, Jr., (died 1758) was a prominent merchant, planter, and legislator who represented Edgecombe County in the colonial Assembly from 1754 until his death in 1758. In 1755, he joined other merchants, traders, and planters in petitioning the Board of Trade for relief on trade restrictions.
