Biographical Description

Henry Wilder Keyes was born in Vermont on May 23, 1862. He was a state legislator in and later governor for New Hampshire. In 1918, Keyes campaigned for and was elected to serve as a United States Senator for the state of New Hampshire, a seat he held from 1919 to 1937. He died in Haverhill, New Hampshire, on June 19, 1938.
