Biographical Description
Zachery C. "Zack" Melton was born on September 16, 1888, in Gaston County, North Carolina. Melton was a mill laborer and later salesman of textile machinery. In 1920, he took part in a labor dispute at Avon Mill in Gastonia, North Carolina. He died there on February 18, 1947.
