Biographical Description

Jonathan Adams (d. c1790) was a resident of Tyrrell County. In early July Daniel Leggett approached Adams and convinced him to swear an oath of secrecy before inducting him into the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. After learning more about the plot, Adams swore it off altogether and gave a deposition before the Tyrrell County justices of the peace.
